Run for the Board of Directors
The Viroqua Food Co-op is owned by nearly 5,000 people in Viroqua and the surrounding communities. The co-op is democratically controlled by its owners through an owner-elected board of directors. The VFC board consists of seven seats, all serving three-year terms. Terms are staggered to add continuity to our leadership. This year, three seats are up for election.
The Annual Election begins on September 16th and ends at our Annual Owners' Meeting on October 16th. Co-op owners will have a chance to meet board candidates at the Meet the Candidates Ice Cream Social on September 18th.
All co-op owners are encouraged to vote. The election takes place online, with a link to the voting site on the election page of our website. There will also be a voting kiosk at the co-op for anyone who needs assistance voting. Additionally, all owners with a current email listed with the co-op will receive a direct voting link in their email. If you are a co-op owner and would like to update your email address or any other contact information, we encourage you to do so on the owner page of our website: viroquafood.coop/we-own-it
Owners of all experiences and backgrounds are invited to consider taking on this leadership role by volunteering to serve on the Viroqua Food Co+op Board of Directors.
Interested candidates with questions can contact the current board anytime via our website at viroquafood.coop/board-of-directors or come to the Welcome Summer Sampling event on June 13th at the co-op, where board members will be available.
The board application with more information is available online at viroquafood.coop/annual-election or at the co-op's service desk.
Board applications are due by midnight on June 30th.
